What’s So Good About Friday?
I’m off work today. My kids are out of school and I will spend some time today working in my yard. Up until this year, my employer scheduled Good Friday as a holiday. Jan is at work and not able to spend the day with us.
Growing up, my dad often had Good Friday off. He would plant his garden on Good Friday. I was never sure if there was anything significant about it being on Good Friday or because he was off.
The Masters will begin its second day, and I plan to spend a little bit of time watching it today.
We will be having the second night of our Easter musical Friday night.
All of that is good on Friday.
But it isn’t the best thing.
The best thing is that we pause for a moment and remember that Christ died on the cross and paid the debt for our sins.
That’s what is good about Friday.
What do you think is good about Good Friday?
You nailed it. No pun intended.
Thank you, kind sir.
For me it’s a time that I reflect on Grace…i indulge in it a little more around this time…i even blog about it…lol…
His grace abounds…
It is definitely a special time to pause and consider all of the grace He gives us.
You got it, Larry! It’s good because Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (Galatians 3:13).
We don’t hear that enough, Stephen.
Right on the money Larry!!!!!!!!!
Simple truth!
