The Weekly Roundup: A Preview
For the past few weeks, I have been highlighting other blogs. Not today. I have had such a wild, busy week that I just haven’t had the time to focus on other blogs. Today, I just want to give a little preview of what will be happening over the week or so here at Deuceology.
I am quickly nearing the end of the first year of this blog. This is momentous. I have had two other blogs and neither one of them consistently had posts everyday. Except for one week, Deuceology has had at least one post everyday for the past year.
I will be doing the obligatory year in review. It was certainly an interesting year at some points.
I will have a post where I need your help. I will ask three questions. If you have never commented before, I would love for you to comment on this one.
I plan to do my best David Letterman and have a top 10 list. I may call that one Deuceology Greatest Hits Volume 1. Or maybe I won’t.
I may list out my favorite posts of the past year.
That’s what’s coming up here at Deuceology over the next week.
What do you have planned for you blog? If you aren’t a blogger, what project or event are you planning?
Congrats on the upcoming milestone!
I’m looking forward to what is coming here in the future.
For my blog, I’m planning to building a house (or two…or three…) in Guatemala through my blogging community.
Thanks Jon. I hope the best is yet to come.
Congratulations on almost one year! I am finishing up my 4th month of posting every day and wondering if I’ll have enough for the rest of the year.
Hoping to get more of a format so it’s easier to post/categorize, and easier for others to find what they are looking for. Any pointers from the veteran would be appreciated!
There are a couple of things that I think have worked for me. First, I write and post consistently. I used to only have a couple of ideas a week. The more I write, the more I have. I try to capture them. Some of them work. Others don’t. I just scribble down every idea and will try to work them all out. Second, I have built up a great network of friends in the blogosphere. We all seem to be interested in the same things. Many of us comment on the same blogs and comment on each other blogs. I believe we drive and attract others to each other. Last, and it’s tied to the first, is be willing to ship. Everyday. Write when you don’t feel like it. Ask others for help. If you don’t read them already, read Jon Acuff’s, Jeff Goins’, and Michael Hyatt’s blogs. I have learned a lot just from reading them.
Great – thanks for the tips!
