Happy Bloggiversary!!!
Today the Deuceology blog is a year old.
Like a phoenix, Deuceology rose out of the ashes of a blog, which had risen out of the ashes of a previous blog.
This blog began a year ago with the purpose of discussing faith, family, football and foolishness. The football part never took off. I seldom really discuss family. I realized after some lame attempts that I can’t write foolishness. At least I can’t write satire for sure.
We limped along together through some tough times. I was too negative for a good chunk of the first few months. I aired some things I shouldn’t have. I lost some relationships along the way. I changed churches, and things took a turn.
I’ve made many of my on-line relationships since October and November.
I’ve been consistent and may have actually begun to learn what my voice is.
I have some things planned over the next year. I want to write a short eBook and give it to everyone who reads this blog. I’m in the process of outlining it. I would love to have it done by the end of summer at the latest.
I want to thank many of you for sticking with me. Help me out now.
What suggestions do you have for year 2?
lol.. I have no advice. i don’t even know what I am going to write from day to day…but it is usually a little bit of foolishness…
I understand. I used to not know from day to day. Then ideas started flooding and I usually have a surplus.
Weird, right? I read somewhere before I really got started doing this that you should pick a subject and only stick to writing about that subject…lol. I couldn’t do it!! My life is too random for that, and I really don’t have enough thoughts on just one subject to last very long… I don’t know how some of these writers do it!!
Well, I don’t know anyone who writes about one subject. But maybe one category like humor, family or faith.
Yes…lots of blogs about those things. I’m not that deep in any of those categories…
i would say stay and same and ditch the Tennessee hat.
But Bill, no one would know who I am.
haha! That’s funny, Bill! I would tell Larry that if my husband (a Georgia Bulldog) ever came across this blog…he might be turned off by TN hat too.
Congrats on 1 year, Larry!
Eileen…at least it’s not a Gator hat.
Congrats! Keep going.
Jon, I definitely don’t plan to stop.
I think you should continue being you. Open and honest.
Walk daily with God at your side!
Ed
I agree with Ed!
Great! Thanks for the feedback.
Congrats Larry. There is a learning curve to this thing I didn’t recognize when I started. You’re doing a great job and I wish you many more years, or at least as many as you want. Thanks for being so supportive of me and my blog. Have a great week.
Ken, I wish I knew three years ago what I know now. That may be why people have different success on a second or third blog.
Larry, I think that you should write more about ferocious chinchillas, who you would hate to get into a tickle fight with, your favorite flavor of Spam, and your thoughts on edible underwear. Or just keep being you.
Rob, those are fantastic ideas. Let me get on that.
Congrats Larry, I have enjoyed getting to know you a little better over the past few months. You have been an inspiration to many of us.
Thanks Sele. I love hearing about all of the technology stuff on your site and getting to know you through that.
Man…keep doing what your doing…you really make us think twice about this christian walk…
i like that…
Arny, do you realize what you said about thinking twice? Deuceology makes you think twice…you may have just given me a great idea. Thanks, my friend.
HA! I didn’t even realize that! so cool!!! lol…
F3 (F-cubed) faith, family, and foolishness…all I got
Whats the plan for what you would write about? Great thought though on getting something like that going!
Arny may have realized what I’ve been doing all along and what my “voice” is.
I help other think twice about how they are living their faith.
Larry, I just got an email from my kids’ school today advertising “Dunn Bunns.” I think you should write about that (or maybe sue).
They will hear from my attorney
