The Weekly Roundup: Joy In The Journey
Joy Bennett writes the blog, Joy In This Journey. I have followed her on Twitter for some time, but for some reason haven’t really hit her blog up very often.
If Joy and I sat down and talked, we might not agree on several things theologically speaking. She would probably be a bit more “woman-y” than I like. I might be a bit more patriarchal or complementarian than she cares for.
Honestly, I don’t know the answers to those statements.
Here’s the thing.
Based on what I have read on her blog and about her on her blog, I like her.
She’s honest. She has had struggles in her life that I hope no one else has to go through.
I like the questions I have seen her ask.
Do we have to line up theologically? Well, I know plenty of Christian folk who read Harry Potter and they don’t worry about whether they line up theologically with J.K. Rowling.
