What Transformed People Do

My prayer is that you are a follower of Christ.  I hope that you are “in” Christ.  I want you to be born again.  My desire is that you are a new creature.  I hope that you are being transformed by the renewing of your mind.

In other words, I hope that you are transformed people.

The question I want us to ask ourselves is this:

What do transformed people do?

I think the answer is basic.  It isn’t a huge secret, but sometimes we miss the forest for the trees.

Transformed people transform.

That’s it.  Simple.

Transformed people transform others.  They don’t do this necessarily on purpose.  It’s just an inevitable function of their own transformation.  The nature of their transformation changes them so much that they can’t help but lead the transformation in others.  That doesn’t mean that they are doing the real transformation.  None of us can make others be born again.  Transformed people are the agents of transformation in others.  God uses their relationship with Christ to reach others.

Transformed people transform culture.  They will change the culture of families.  Companies and departments will be changed.  Churches will even be transformed by transformed people

How does this happen?

  • Transformed people communicate what they believe
  • Transformed people know what others believe
  • Transformed people follow the prompting of the Spirit of God

What will happen when transformed people take the role of transforming serious?

Transformed people will be mocked.  They will face questions of what they are doing.  They will not be accepted.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.  Too many of us accept the status quo as it is.  We act insane.  Some of us just assume that things will change.

Guess what?

Nothing is going to change until we accept the fact that we who are transformed must  allow our lives to have  a transforming effect.  Transformed people transform.  The question is if we truly want to see transformation.

Are you transformed?  Are you transforming?

I have been and am continually being transformed. I also try to be a cog in the transforming of the culture I live in-local and church. I see you have also transformed. You are no longer wearing your UT hat in the picture. Hmmmmm.

Wow you have started off 2014 with a powerful post. So glad I can say yes to both your questions, yes. Looking forward to more of God’s transforming power this next year. One of the highlights of our ministry is meeting with young couples after their first term overseas. Just hearing how God has taught them so much about Himself through the struggles it takes to reach a remote group with the gospel. They left the comfort of good old America with pure zeal and return for furlough with such wisdom and a control zeal that only comes through that transformation. Good post brother, good one.
