A Thousand Isn’t What It Used To Be

One thousand isn’t always a thousand.

It depends on whether you’re talking about you or God.

According to Peter, a thousand years is like a day and a day is like a thousand years.  Math for you and me may have to follow the rules, but if you’re God, it doesn’t.  I mean, the Trinity blows my mind.

For us, a thousand is a thousand.  A thousand days is just under three years.  A thousand dollars is a grand, though it sure isn’t what it used to be.
And a thousand blog posts are a thousand blog posts.

I don’t have anything profound to say today.  Many of you may wonder what makes today different from any other day.

I just want to thank you folks who show up here everyday and read my mess, my thoughts.

I appreciate every one of you.  I really don’t know how many of you really read this on a daily basis.  I see some stats that WordPress provides, but I don’t know if others of you read from a reader of some sorts or through email.

It really doesn’t matter.

Several of you comment and I love that.  I love this little community that many of us have become.

You have stuck with me, from the beginning through the dark days as this blog has transformed into whatever it is now.

Thank you for hanging with me.  Let’s go for another thousand.
